Through the streamer trunk, both Nathan and Katrina discover their connection across time. By way of letters, and pictures; shared thoughts and dreams, they fall in love. Imprisoned by time, Nathan and Katrina’s feelings are put to the test. Can they safely pass through worlds and defeat time or will they forever remain a world apart?

Great Story - Weak Ending!!!!

This book captured my attention due to the subject matter - Time Travel...........and I found the story line captivating! I became caught up in the modern-day romance between a young man & his "high-maintenance" fiancé. The relationship and it's difficulties began to take a backseat when this young male law student bought an old trunk and restored it. To his astonishment, things began to appear from nowhere in this trunk and his need to understand the unexplainable takes precedence over everything. The author provided historical details which allowed the reader to "get on board" with this travelling back & forth through time. HOWEVER, the BIG MOMENT the entire book had been leading the reader up to was a seriously disappointing lack of a satisfactory ending!!!!!! I'm assuming the author decided to let the reader draw their own conclusion as to how the story ends, but I felt like I got shoved off the "TRAIN" right at the big climatic moment!!!!!!! **sigh**

You'll never forget this!

John Laird has presented his reader with a time travel tale that will delight and intrigue. His well-researched book is spellbinding and could easily lend itself to the big screen. We are taken back to another time, that is detailed and colorful, and become emotionally involved with the young lovers and their predicament. Will they ever meet? And how on earth can this happen since they are from different times? This is a highly readable and engrossing love story that you won't be able to put down. Mr. Laird's other stories are equally as mesmerizing as From Time to Time - so be one of the first to say, "I knew him when . . ." I highly recommend this book to all who enjoy a good love story taking place under unusual circumstances.

An incredible experience

A beautiful blend of history and romance, a story with that perfect ending.
I felt as though I had just walked through the pages of time as I read this uniquely written novel.
At no point did I ever find the book to be boring as with some writers, when you get to the middle of their novel, they seem to be lost as far as to where they want their writing to go. Not with J.C., he is clear and precise and takes you along with him on that journey.
The sexual scenes take back stage, but in the end you will understand why.
Each chapter you read will leave you in anticipation of what the next will reveal.
Then that final chapter, each passing page leaves you on the edge of your seat, then the last few words are spoken and you can actually feel the whisper of her breath.
All I can say is "Perfection."
